Melissa Dubroff, MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Dubroff is a psychiatrist practicing in Vermont and New York. She graduated from Harvard and then received her medical education at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Following her internship at New York Medical College at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, she pursued residency training in psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia campus)/New York State Psychiatric Institute. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia campus). She worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at The New York State Psychiatric Institute on the Schizophrenia Research Unit and The Washington Heights Community Service, providing clinical care for hospitalized patients while supervising and teaching medical students and residents in psychiatry. She left hospital-based work to open a private practice in Westchester, NY where she treated adults and children. Dr. Dubroff has had a special focus on treatment of patients with eating disorders and caring for young people as they transition to college and adulthood. Since making Vermont her home base, she has worked with adolescents and young adults engaging in wilderness therapy. Dr. Dubroff has enjoyed combining her love for skiing and hiking with her professional expertise to provide care for patients in this unique setting. Dr. Dubroff lives mainly in Charlotte, VT with her husband and dog who share her affinity for all things outdoors, and that is where you can generally find them if they are not visiting their three, far-flung adult children.
