What Is AN IOP Program?
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured mental health treatment program designed for individuals who need more support than typical outpatient care can provide but do not require the 24-hour supervision of inpatient treatment. Arete’s IOP involves several hours of therapy and support services multiple days per week, focusing on various therapeutic approaches, including individual therapy, group therapy and experiential interventions.

Individual TherapY

Experiential activities in offer participants opportunities for skill building and the time and space to develop competence and personal effectiveness in different areas of life. These activities promote emotional resilience and adaptability to new environments and people that may be challenging.
Service Details
Weekly schedule
Participants in the IOP progam typically attend three group sessions per week of about three hours in length. Participants also engage with one session of individual therapy during each week as well case management reviews.

Duration of Care
Each participant engages with Arete’s IOP for differing amounts of time as is clinically indicated and until the reach treatment objectives they have outlined for themselves. Typical lengths of care are between 30 and 90 days of treament.
